Mathias started in Ignite Procurement as a software engineer but shifted his focus over time to align with his passion for sustainability, contributing to the topic of carbon accounting. He has since developed Ignite's third-party-verified methodology for transparently calculating a company's indirect greenhouse gas emissions. Now he is working with the carbon accounting product team to continually improve this module by including more advanced emission calculations and in the future enable initiatives for setting targets and tracking reduction.
