I lead the Energy System Digitalisation team at Ofgem, designing and implementing the regulatory framework for the digital energy sector. I'm responsible for delivering Ofgem and Government's joint Energy Digitalisation Strategy. I started my career in scientific research, exploring new Li-ion cathode materials. I made the jump to Ofgem after realising the importance of policy to behaviour, technology, and business. Within Ofgem I've worked in enforcement, strategy, innovation, and now digitalisation. My team are at the intersection of policy and technology, exploring the role of the regulator in encouraging innovation within the energy sector.
