Julian Peck Investment Manager, WAE Technology Ltd United Kingdom Julian Peck leads the venture investment team at WAE, the engineering consultancy originally spun-out from Williams F1 but acquired in 2022 by Fortescue Metals Group as a key part of their commitment to transition to net zero by 2030. This team is half of the FWT venture capital fund (formerly Foresight Williams) and since 2022 has partnered with Sainsburys to form Sainsburys Innovation Investments (S2I), investing in tech companies to help Sainsburys reach their net zero commitment by 2035. Julian studied manufacturing engineering at the University of Cambridge and spent much of his career as a founder of IP backed businesses in Newcastle, then spent 10 years with Cambridge Enterprise doing technology transfer on behalf of the University of Cambridge before joining WAE.
