Joss Clarke is the Head of Policy and External Affairs at SGN. He has worked across policy and business development roles covering South America, the UK, US and Europe in the electricity, telecoms, and gas infrastructure sectors throughout his career.

SGN is an investor-owned utility which distributes natural gas and biogas to 6 million homes and businesses across Scotland, Northern Ireland, and the south of England.

Having connected the UK’s first biogas plant to the network, they now distribute biogas to over 250,000 homes, with ambitions to almost double that amount by the middle of the decade. With plans to commission the world’s first 100% green hydrogen network in Fife to homes in 2024, and over twenty heat network projects under way, they are at the forefront of developing decarbonised network solutions that deliver secure energy supplies to industrial, commercial and domestic customers.
