Gemma is Strategic Engagement Lead (England) for ACCA (the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants). In her role, she is responsible for strategic engagement in England, strengthening and shaping relationships with Governments, devolved administrations, key stakeholders and partners to enhance influence, reputation and profile of ACCA. Engagement is focused on bringing expertise to national challenges to assist in developing policies that build a strong global accounting profession and strong thriving societies.

Prior to joining ACCA, her career has been in policy and engagement, largely in the education and skills sector. With roles including leading on skills for the Coventry and Warwickshire Local Enterprise Partnership and as Head of Policy for examination board OCR.
