I'm a Professor of Environmental Pollution in the School of Civil Engineering and Surveying at the University of Portsmouth. The primary purpose of my research is to define the sources and fates of pollutants in the environment and develop interventions to prevent or mitigate their impact. I am a Senior Editor for the journal Cambridge Prisms: Plastics and I lead the University of Portsmouth's Microplastics Research Group, establishing the impacts of microplastics on human health and the environment. We wish to engage and galvanise citizens, businesses and policy makers to action through knowledge exchange and creating innovative solutions.
