Dr Niels Schneider is a Senior Venture Manager and lead for the Creative Destruction Lab's Climate stream at the University of Oxford. Before joining CDL, Niels worked at the University of Bristol where he researched sustainability driven entrepreneurship, eco-innovation and carbon footprinting. Niels is author of the book “Ecopreneurship: Business practices for a sustainable future” and peer-reviewed life cycle assessments. Prior to doing his PhD, Niels helped scale a venture backed Adtech startup as one of the first five team members. Here Niels built one of the business units and took on the role of Head of Finance to support the startup during its fundraising and internationalisation. Niels is passionate about Entrepreneurship as a force for good and all things sustainability. He holds a PhD and MSc in Management from the University of Bristol and a BSc in Business Administration from the University of Cologne.
