Dr Matthew Aylott is Electrification of Heat Policy Lead at the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero. In this role, he is responsible for leading the government's work to remove barriers to the deployment of heat pumps and other electric heating technologies. Prior to joining the Civil Service, Matthew was a Senior Energy Policy Advisor at the Consumers' Association Which? and Policy Manager at the UK Energy Research Centre. He is a Policy Fellow at the University of Cambridge Centre for Science and Policy.
