Dr Jim Stevens is a senior scientist at Vertical Future and his research interest focuses on the impact of light quality and quantity on plant productivity. He has developed models to explore the economic returns and effectiveness of different spectra and developed novel technologies that use plant responses to dictate lighting regimes. Jim completed his PhD at the University of Essex, and went on to conduct research and teaching there. Whilst at Vertical Future, he has held a position as a visiting researcher at the University of Cambridge. In his spare time, Jim is a board member for the AgriFood Charities Partnership.
