Dr. Anita Haider is a synthetic polymer chemist having obtained a PhD from Imperial College, London in 2008. During her research career, she developed functionalised biodegradable polymers from various naturally-occurring sugars. Anita has had a career spanning 20 years in aluminium, oil and gas industries across multiple commercial disciplines and managing multi-billion-dollar investments in some of the world's largest organisations, including ExxonMobil and BP. This has taken her on a global journey from the United Kingdom to Southern Africa, the Middle East and Asia. She founded Emnandi Bioplastics to drive the bioplastics industry into new arenas with an emphasis on the circular economy and expansion into new and niche applications. By leveraging the latest in polymer manufacturing, material development and digital technology, its focus is to devise solutions that take us Beyond Net Zero.
