HH Princess Noura bint Turki Al-Saud
Her Highness Princess Noura bint Turki Al-Saud is the co-founder of Aeon Collective, a crossdisciplinary Waqf (non-profit endowment) that advocates for sustainable practices and policies and actively works towards inclusive and equitable development through its various projects and programs. As such capacity, her highness co-leads companies and initiatives under AEON collective which focuses on fostering holistic and sustainable approaches to development. These include Aeon Strategy, LLC: The advisory arm; Aeon Placemaking: Transforming spaces in vibrant community hubs; and Aeon Labs: an impact venture studio.
With a professional career spanning almost two decades, she is a thought leader on sustainability issues, including social and economic development, climate and energy policy and conservation efforts. She has been a leading voice calling for climate aligned energy policies and strategies in the kingdom since 2012 where she focused her worked on the geopolitics of energy, global Climate policy, energy markets, energy security and affordability. She has also contributed to the Kingdom’s efforts on the development of the Circular Carbon Economy and the Circular Carbon Economy National Program. As Managing Partner of Aeon Strategy, She leads and directs development and strategy projects emphasizing environmentally and socioeconomically conscious approaches.
Her non-profit work at Aeon Collective emphasizes a human-centric approach to development, focusing on environmental conservation, cultural preservation and social cohesion. She has coauthored and steered multiple publications, that bridges the gap between science and policy, in support of science backed policy making.
She holds a Master’s degree in International Affairs from Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs (SIPA), where she took an interdisciplinary approach to development and international cooperation. Her studies concentrated on Urban and Social Development, Energy Systems, Earth Sciences, and Energy and Climate Policy, with an emphasis on the intersection between science, policy, and markets.
She has previously served as Assistant Director at the King Faisal Center for Research and Islamic Studies (KFCRIS), a think tank based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, where she also headed the Unit on Energy Studies, focusing on the geopolitics of energy and energy markets. She is a Founding Board Member of Albaydah Development Society and an Advisory Board Member of the King Abdullah University of Science and Technology’s (KAUST) Circular Carbon Initiative. She has also served as a member of the International Energy Agency’s (IEA) Energy Efficiency Industry Advisory Board.
