Abdulraheem Algarni is a seasoned energy professional with extensive experience in power systems operation, planning, and regional grid coordination. He holds a degree in Electrical Engineering from King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals (KFUPM), graduating in 2008.

He began his career at the Saudi Electricity Company, where he contributed to national grid operations from 2008 to 2016. Since 2016, Abdulraheem has been with the Gulf Cooperation Council Interconnection Authority (GCCIA), where he plays a key role in advancing regional interconnection planning, ancillary services, and the integration of renewable energy across GCC member states.

He is actively engaged in regional and international energy forums, contributing to knowledge sharing and cross-border cooperation to enhance grid resilience and sustainability in the GCC.
