Andrew is from the United Kingdom and graduated in 2012 from the University of Southampton with an honors degree in Mechanical Engineering. He then joined the Royal Air Force (RAF) as an Aerosystems Engineering Officer and initially served as a maintenance manager on several aircraft Squadrons, leading teams conducting operations both globally and domestically. He then moved into a support role within the UK’s Defence Equipment & Support organization, looking after the mechanical systems for the RAF’s fleet of CH-47 helicopters, before completing a strategy role in the RAF’s headquarters, planning the workforce requirements for the RAF’s 700 strong officer cohort.

He then undertook an academic Fellowship studying Engineering for Sustainable Development at the University of Cambridge, where he graduated with distinction. This led to a role as the RAF’s Sustainable Aviation strategy lead, where he was awarded an MBE in the 2025 Kings New Year Honours for his work leading the Ministry of Defence’s approach to climate change risks for its aviation sector. After leaving public service, he relocated to Dubai and works as Boeing’s Regional Sustainability Lead for the Middle East, Türkiye, Africa and Central Asia - leading their regional engagement and partnerships with key stakeholders.
