ADDRESSING WATER QUALITY: STRATEGIES, SOLUTIONS AND SUCCESS STORIES
Water pollution from wastewater, agriculture and industry is one of the biggest environmental challenges facing our global water resources. The UK government has taken steps to address this issue by increasing funding and setting legally-binding environmental goals. Yet, we remain off-track from meeting these water quality targets.
Protecting and restoring our water ecosystems will require further funding commitments, along with innovative policies and collaboration among businesses, government, delivery bodies and the environmental sector. In this session, our panellists will explore the magnitude of the challenge, the obstacles to overcome and the desired outcomes to pursue over the coming years.
