Innovation Zero 2024 Main Stage

Energy & Grid Forum at Innovation Zero World 2026

The Energy & Grid Forum sits at the centre of the UK’s clean power mission.

As the UK races toward Clean Power 2030 and a fully decarbonised economy, the energy system itself is undergoing its most profound transformation in a century. Electrification at scale, digital infrastructure, public trust, capital allocation and regional delivery are no longer separate challenges - they are tightly interdependent system questions.

Across two days, the Energy & Grid Forum will unite government, industry, investors and innovators to explore the convergence of:

  • Clean power infrastructure at scale - grids, nuclear, hydrogen, offshore wind and CCUS

  • Finance, risk and market design - aligning capital with whole-system outcomes

  • Flexibility and electrification - unlocking faster, cheaper system balancing

  • Digitalisation and interoperability - AI, data sharing and digital twins

  • Regional and consumer delivery - place-based energy planning and public trust

  • Industrial transformation - electrifying heat, processes and demand at scale

Together, these themes define the backbone of a secure, investable and publicly supported energy system, capable not only of decarbonising the economy, but powering long-term growth, resilience and competitiveness.

2026 Energy & Grid Agenda Overview

Why Attend the Energy & Grid Forum?

The Energy & Grid Forum is a must-attend for policymakers, utilities, investors, infrastructure developers, technology leaders and large energy users shaping the UK’s clean power future.

Across two days of high-level discussion, the Forum will move beyond ambition to focus on delivery- tackling the investment, regulatory, digital and social challenges that will determine whether the UK can build a secure, flexible and affordable energy system at pace.

Attendees will leave with a whole-system understanding of where government strategy, market design and private capital are aligning, where barriers remain, and how to position their organisation to succeed in the next phase of the energy transition.

What Will You Learn?

  • How the UK is financing and delivering major clean energy infrastructure, from grids, nuclear and hydrogen to flexibility, storage and industrial electrification.

  • How global best practice and international case studies can inform the UK’s next phase of system transformation.

  • How public trust, communication and infrastructure acceptance are becoming critical enablers of delivery.

  • How regional and place-based energy strategies are being developed and funded, and what this means for skills, investment and local growth.

  • How flexibility markets and consumer-centred design are unlocking system value across households, industry and emerging high-demand sectors like data centres.

  • How digitalisation is reshaping the energy system, including AI tools, data sharing, interoperability and digital twins for planning, optimisation and resilience.

The Energy & Grid Forum at Innovation Zero World 2026 will delve into the critical components of achieving a sustainable energy transition.
