Mission-led economic policy: how do we get the public and private sector working together effectively for delivery?

This Policy & Industry working group, delivered in collaboration with Aldersgate group, will discuss opportunities to galvanise private sector action behind the mission-led economic approach laid out by the Starmer government.

Drawing on the work of UCL based economist Professor Mariana Mazzucatto, the session will discuss how the current Government’s 5 stated missions can become an engine for nation-wide innovation, growth, and societal progress, by setting the framework and confidence for private sector investment and delivery. The session is invite-only for leaders in government, business and innovation with the discussion focusing on what’s working and what’s needed to improve public and private sector collaboration behind the stated missions.
