Restoring Our Oceans: Taking a Community-Led Approach

30 Apr 2025
Nature, Land & Sea Forum
Enterprise (Public & Private Sector)

The protection and restoration of marine ecosystems - such as coral reefs, mangroves and seagrass meadows – is essential for maintaining ocean health, enhancing climate resilience and supporting the communities who depend on these ecosystems and have long been their stewards.

In this session, we will explore the critical role of local stewardship and indigenous knowledge in ocean restoration efforts. We’ll also examine the opportunities available for stakeholders seeking to support community-centred conservation and empower those who have long cared for these vital ecosystems.
