As electrification and the share of variable renewable energy in our grid continues to rise, the development and deployment of robust energy storage solutions will be crucial to decarbonising our energy systems and securing our future energy supply. With progress currently lagging, it is imperative that governments act now to unlock investment and accelerate the scaling up of energy storage solutions to support both decarbonisation and energy security.
