THE FUTURE OF WATER: HOW WE ADVANCE RESILIENCE IN A CHANGING CLIMATE

30 Apr 2024
Oceans & Water Forum
Policy , Circularity , Innovation , Infrastructure

As climate change increases the frequency and severity of extreme weather events – ranging from devastating floods to prolonged droughts – it is crucial our water systems are adequately prepared to withstand future shocks and minimise their destructive impact on the environment.

Technological innovations will play a critical role in enhancing our ability to predict and react to these extreme weather events before they occur, while natural buffers offer an inexpensive way to mitigate these impacts. During this session, our panellists will discuss how we can harness investment and collaboration between stakeholders to fast-track the implementation of these innovations and improve our future resilience and climate preparedness.
