INDUSTRIALISATION: MOVING FROM R&D TO COMMERCIAL REALITY

01 May 2024
Aviation & Shipping Forum
Policy , Investment , Innovation , Infrastructure

The decarbonisation challenge for aviation is urgent and progress is desperately needed. Current planned production capacities of SAF will provide just 1-2% of jet fuel demand by 2027, while energy infrastructure is hampered by cost and permitting issues.

How can we encourage policymakers to remove bottlenecks and attract investment into the jet zero transformation? And with the UK positioned as a testbed for innovation, how can its R&D capabilities be funded and commercialised?
