All wind turbine blades suffer from repetitive maintenance issues. Repairs are costly, slow and currently done manually by in-demand rope-access specialists. Maintenance is the biggest issue and cost category in the lifetime of a wind turbine, and the critical shortage of technicians is growing to 150.000 globally.
