Sherif is CEO and Co-founder of Carbon Re, a spin-out company of Cambridge University and UCL developing cutting-edge decarbonization solutions for the cement and steel industries. He is a leading expert in the tech for good space. Sherif previously set up and led the AI for Climate practice at Element AI and was co-founder and director of Amnesty Tech at Amnesty International. He was also co-chair of the World Economic Forum's Global Future Council on technology and human rights and a fellow at Harvard Kennedy School. He has a BSc in Civil Engineering from the American University in Cairo and a Master in Public Administration from Harvard.
