Sarah Barratt Ball is the Director of the Creative Destruction Lab at Oxford. Sarah has a senior executive background of 27 years in finance. After 15 years working for investment banks in London, San Francisco and New York, she left Morgan Stanley as a Managing Director to join hedge fund Trafelet & Company as a Partner. Sarah co-founded Oakpoint Advisors in New York, a 20-person hedge fund consultancy business. Since moving back to the UK, Sarah has spent the last decade developing Shearwater Partners, a business she founded to work with global pension funds. Over this period, she has served on the advisory committee of a global FinTech startup, on the investment committee of the 150-year-old charity Girls Friendly Society and as an angel investor in a successful social media company.
