Yetunde Abdul
Yetunde Abdul is Director of Industry Transformation at the UK Green Building Council (UKGBC), where she leads efforts to accelerate systemic change across the built environment in response to the climate and nature crises. In this role, she oversees initiatives focused on scaling sustainable solutions, advancing circular economy approaches, and aligning industry action on climate mitigation, resilience, and nature.
With over 20 years’ experience, Yetunde brings a multidisciplinary background spanning engineering and environmental consultancies, property investment, certification bodies, and government. Originally trained as a life scientist, she specialises in translating sustainability ambition into practical, scalable delivery across complex systems.
A Chartered Environmentalist, Yetunde has worked across the UK, Europe, Africa, and Asia. She brings an international perspective on how policy, finance, and collaboration can unlock a resilient, net zero built environment that delivers environmental and social value at scale.
