Trevor Hutchings
Trevor Hutchings, Chief Executive of the Renewable Energy Association (REA) brings a wealth of experience across net zero, renewables, and the clean energy transition. He is a Fellow of the Energy Institute and was previously a Partner at the international consulting group BIP, where he led the Sustainability Centre of Excellence. Earlier in his career, Trevor worked in Whitehall and at the European Commission in Brussels on energy and environmental programmes, including policies supporting the UK renewables market. He later joined WWF, the global conservation NGO, serving as Director of Advocacy with a focus on public policy and environmental governance. Under Trevor’s leadership, the REA has been strengthening UK-Ukraine ties to enable investment from UK partners into the Ukraine and ultimately ensuring this investment is clean and resilient. This includes working with stakeholders to take a UK business delegation to Ukraine in mid-2026 , high-level sessions across the sector, which he would be happy to discuss with International Energy Week participants.
