A natural ability to analyse, problem solve and create agile solutions, resulted in a successful 35-year career as an entrepreneur and engineer in Asia and the UK - despite not being traditionally academic.

As a youngster, Steve faced huge challenges being neurodiverse (dyslexic), which resulted in school being a real struggle. Fortunately, in secondary education he had craft subjects that he excelled at, but it was only after he left school and became a toolmaker, that he discovered he was actually very good at maths. He later went on to own his own companies and to achieve business success.

In 2022, Steve decided to focus on what he believed was truly important and to combine his knowledge of design and problem solving with his commitment to help address one of the biggest environmental crises we face – the global water shortage.

The world-first solution uses engineering innovation, smart tech and the power of behavioural science to help empower all of us to monitor and manage this precious resource and to take shorter showers. It encourages people to make better choices, reducing water and energy waste and CO2 emissions. Showerkap is in discussions to work with some of the world's most forward thinking B Corp organisations, hotels and universities.
