Baroness (Lindsay) Northover is a member of the Science and Technology Select Committee (House of Lords), and formerly served on the Lords Environment and Climate Change Committee. She is Vice Chair of the All Party Parliamentary Groups on Critical Minerals and ESG. She is on the Board of Pensana plc and chairs its ESG committee. She was the Department for International Development Minister for Africa in the Coalition Government, and later the Prime Minister’s Trade Envoy to Angola and Zambia. She is a Council Member, the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, and Hon Associate Professor, Institute of Global Health Innovation, Imperial College. She is a member of Peers for the Planet, a House of Lords group focused on ensuring that legislation is addressing the climate change goals to which the Government has signed up. She has a first degree from Oxford and a PhD from the USA.
