Nick Silver
Nick is founder and chair of the Blue Bond Accelerator, founder/director of Radix Big Tent and chair of Callund Consulting, an international consulting firm which specialises in social protection in the global south. Nick is also a founder/director of New Capital Consensus, hosted by Chatham House to transform the financial system. Previously Nick founded and was chair of Climate Bonds Initiative (CBI).
Nick is a visiting fellow at Bayes (City University) Business School, where he teaches the emerging global risks course. Nick has worked with the UN, World Bank amongst other development institutions and over 30 countries’ governments on climate change and economic development.
Nick is a leading actuary, he was formerly on council – the governing body – of the Instiute and Faculty of Actuaries, He has won The President’s Award for outstanding contribution to the Actuarial Profession and the Phiatus Award for his charitable efforts, and was commended for the Reddington Prize. Nick’s book, Finance, Society and Sustainability was recently published by Palgrave Macmillan. Nick is a Freeman of the City of London.
