He is highly regarded in the oil, gas and chemical industries globally, working throughout the world in senior leadership positions, including almost three decades with BP to develop innovative clean-energy and sustainable technologies.

His multi-award-winning work has created a wealth of intellectual property and successful commercial investment opportunities for some of the world’s leading oil & petrochemical companies.

Several of Martin’s many patents are now in commercial production, and his research is widely published. He is connected with several academic institutes internationally, holding roles such as Emeritus Professor at The Queen’s University, Belfast Honorary Professor in clean energy technologies at the Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics in China and member of the International Advisory Board at Peking University, Beijing.
