Lucy Shaw is an investor and writer focused on solutions to transition to a cleaner, cheaper energy system. She leads Gordon Management, an investment firm advising on energy projects in the UK and Africa, and has previously worked as an investor at Blackstone, Actis, and the IFC. She writes a column, Slow Burn, on the progress and pitfalls of the energy transition, and is the co-host of Power Plays, a news podcast on energy. She studied an MBA and MPA at Harvard on a Fulbright scholarship, graduating in the top 5% of the class at Harvard Business School, and holds a mechanical engineering degree from the University of Melbourne.
