Dr. James Doherty is the CEO and a Co-Founder of Earthshot-nominated enterprise Plastic-i. An entrepreneur with a unique blend of expertise in Astronomy, Data Science, and Law, James drives environmental innovation at the company. He holds a PhD in Astronomy, law degrees from the Universities of Cambridge and Oxford, and is a Science to Data Science (S2DS) Fellow. Formerly a commercial lawyer at Eversheds Sutherland, James applies his diverse skill set to advance Plastic-i’s mission of tackling marine plastic pollution and promoting ocean health.
