Hayley is Head of Strategy and Stakeholder Engagement in the Distribution System Operator (DSO) business in National Grid Electricity Distribution. Having joined National Grid 11 years ago, she has a wealth of experience across transmission and distribution, in both gas and electricity. Starting in system operation, she led the development and implementation of industry code changes across the gas market, before moving into project delivery in electricity transmission. She has led the operational delivery of electricity infrastructure projects across England and Wales, and also held roles leading engagement to obtain consent for large infrastructure projects. Most recently she has taken a central role in establishing the foundations of the DSO in its first full year as a functionally separate part of National Grid.
