An award-winning editor, Edwin has launched several maritime print and online publications and is at the forefront of developing, chairing and moderating Riviera's portfolio of events and webinar weeks. He frequently chairs or moderates maritime and offshore industry events, serves as an adjudicator for industry awards, and has been engaged by the industry to deliver workshops and consultancy services internationally. His opinions are sought by media outlets, and he has featured in The Guardian and on Canadian national radio.

Edwin founded the registered charity The Brun Bear Foundation, which supports various causes including the OSCAR (Ocean and Shipping Community Advancing Children’s Health and Research) campaign, and funds The MarineBear Award to support technology-led projects focused on marine conservation. He is also the editor of the newly launched recipe book Mealtimes With My Maritime Friends, which features contributions from more than 50 leading figures in the maritime industry, with proceeds funding the work of The Brun Bear Foundation.
