Dr Weli is a Chartered Engineer and Business Leader with experience in senior roles and across multiple industry sectors. He has advised executive-level management, government ministers and department heads in major global Infrastructure and Energy Projects on strategies and methods for achieving cost-effective compliance to international and legal requirements.

In the last 20 years, Dr Weli has developed strategies, technologies and built businesses that promote Industrial Symbiosis concepts as the basis for Circular Economy - mimicking nature’s natural system in an industrial environment. Through the implementation of this circular business model, “industrial ecosystems” are created, in which elements or industrial actors optimise operating efficiency, reduce wastes, by-products, energy and equipment utilisation thereby allowing resources and materials to be used productively for longer. In practical terms, Dr Weli’s concepts, technologies and businesses have contributed to reduced operational costs, fiscal benefits and emissions reduction.
