Dean Cooper is the Global Energy Lead at WWF, aiming for a “faster, greener & fairer” global transformation to renewable energy. Dean manages WWF’s energy priorities, including: fossil-fuel phase-out energy efficiency energy access just energy transformation and the link between energy & nature.

During his energy career of over 30 years, Dean has worked for the UK Energy Agency
was Head of International Co-operation for a European Commission support unit in Brussels seconded to the Department of Minerals & Energy in South Africa to build EU/SA energy co-operation relocated to Botswana to develop closer links with the Southern Africa Development Community (SADC) managed the Parallax-Sustainable Development Solutions business in South Africa and the UK spent 7 years as Energy Finance Manager with UNEP in Paris and was Global Energy Sector Co-ordinator with SNV in the Netherlands.
