David Garrido
David Garrido is a Sky Sports presenter with 25 years’ experience in the industry, and he is widely considered the leading communicator and content-maker for sport and sustainability.
His documentary, “Football’s Toughest Opponent”, which explores the relationship between the beautiful game and the climate crisis, has been recognised with multiple award nominations, and was broadcast in the UK, Ireland, Italy and Germany.
David also has his own ongoing episodic series, “Playing For The Planet”, which is into its third season and profiles elite athletes and their journeys in sustainability - such as British men’s tennis number 1 Cam Norrie, Premier League footballer Ben Mee, double Olympic sailing champion Hannah Mills and marathon world record holder Eliud Kipchoge.
David also works externally with various clients as a sustainability host, moderator and content-creator - they include UEFA, FIA, Formula E, McLaren Racing, Envision Racing, SailGP and Polestar.
