Caroline Lewis is a Sustainable Agriculture Analyst at BloombergNEF. Caroline has grown up surrounded by agriculture, with her family being fourth generation farmers in Herefordshire.
Her current work is focused on carbon markets and the opportunities they offer the agricultural industry, with prior research looking at innovations in perennial cereal crops and the impact of the conflict in Ukraine on food security and pricing. Caroline’s previous role was at Frontier Agriculture (UK joint venture between Cargill and Associated British Foods), as a Sustainability Specialist, where she advised agronomists, farm traders, supply chain buyers and growers on soil health, regenerative agriculture and carbon markets.
She holds a BSc (Hons) in Geography from Durham University, where her dissertation focused on utilizing reduced tillage to sequester soil carbon.
