Brigadier Tim Symonds OBE attended the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst and commissioned into the Royal Logistic Corps in 1999. Deployments have included management of helicopter handling operations in Macedonia, port activation in Iraq and three tours of Afghanistan (as a Planner, a Combat Logistic Patrol Commander, and the Deputy Chief of Staff of Task Force Helmand).

In more recent strategic leadership appointments, he has focused on organisational and cultural change in various roles in Army Headquarters and in the MOD Main Building in London. His current role is Head of Climate Change and Sustainability for the British Army.
