Ministerial opening and rising talent recognitionThe conference will open with keynote addresses from Michael Shanks MP, Minister of State for Energy, and Gillian Martin MSP, Cabinet Secretary for Climate Action and Energy. Gillian Martin will also present the Young Professionals Award (YPA), sponsored by the Energy Transition Zone, recognising impactful and innovative new talent entering the sector.

Ahead of the conference, attendees can join “Decarb Rocks – How Geosciences Support Industrial Decarbonisation”, a guided tour of Arthur’s Seat led by the British Geological Survey.
