Sweden’s first wireless fast charger inaugurated in Malmö
)
Bring is now using Sweden’s first wireless fast charger for heavy trucks at its Malmö depot. The system, developed by Lund-based Elonroad, uses conductive charging where a pick-up under the vehicle connects to a ground rail - allowing automatic charging without cables or driver involvement. Bring driver Karim Alhassan praises the convenience, as the truck begins and ends charging automatically. The installation, launched on Tuesday, is the first of its kind in Sweden for heavy-duty vehicles. Elonroad has also ongoing projects in Norway, the U.S., France, and Sweden, including electric road systems and stationary chargers.
