Jolt Advances Electrochemical Platform for Strategic Materials, Energy, and Water Systems
Barcelona, Spain — April 2026 — Jolt, a deeptech company developing next-generation electrochemical systems, today announced its transition from lab-scale validation to industrial deployment of its catalyst-coated electrode platform—designed to reduce energy consumption and unlock step-change performance across critical industrial processes.
Jolt’s technology enables more efficient refining of strategic metals including copper, cobalt, manganese, and lithium—materials essential to electrification, defense systems, and energy security. The platform also supports decentralized production of chlorinated water for remote or austere environments, and enhances performance in fuel cells and other electrochemical energy systems.
With first-of-a-kind (FOAK) deployments underway across Africa, Chile, Saudi Arabia, and the United States, Jolt is positioning electrochemistry as a foundational infrastructure layer for resilient industrial systems.
“As global supply chains and energy systems are being redefined, efficient electrochemical processing becomes a strategic capability,” said [Founder Name], CEO of Jolt. “Our platform enables localized, lower-energy production of critical materials and chemicals—relevant for both industrial scale and mission-critical environments.”
Jolt is currently raising a €2–3 million round to accelerate commercialization and scale its industrial deployments, with a larger growth round planned as revenues ramp toward 2027.
The company is actively engaging with investors, industrial partners, and defense stakeholders seeking scalable solutions for resource security, energy efficiency, and decentralized infrastructure.
