InductEV to deploy wireless charging technology at ITS

InductEV has been selected to supply wireless high-power charging for five battery-electric yard tractors at the Port of Long Beach, managed by International Transportation Service (ITS). Backed by a $3.3 million grant from the California Energy Commission, the project will use InductEV’s 150kW inductive charging pads, enabling hands-free, efficient charging without the need for extra space or manual connection.
This is InductEV’s first West Coast port installation, following a previous deployment in New Jersey. The wireless system allows for shorter, more frequent charging sessions throughout the day, helping optimize energy use, reduce strain on utilities, and improve safety and operational efficiency for port cargo handling equipment.
