The Hong Kong Polytechnic University makes debut at Innovation Zero
The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU) will make its inaugural appearance as the only institution from Hong Kong at Innovation Zero 2026, the UK's premier low-carbon innovation congress, taking place in London on 28-29 April 2026.
At the event, PolyU will showcase its cutting-edge sustainability research, reinforcing its commitment to advancing solutions for a net-zero future. It will include multi-disciplinary projects around cooling technologies, low-carbon construction materials, ammonia-powered versatile energy supply, wastewater treatment etc. These innovations align with PolyU's strategic research theme "Energy, Environment and Sustainable Futures" and demonstrate the university's active role in helping Hong Kong and the region achieve carbon neutrality.
Spotlight on Green Innovation
Professor Meng Ni, Head of Department of Building Environment and Energy Engineering, will serve as a panelist at the session titled "Global Lessons: International Pathways to Energy System Transformation." Leveraging on his expereince in hydrogen fuel cells, electrochemical energy conversion, Professor Ni will share his insights from the Chinese market's perspective.
Through participating the event, it is hoped to forge international collaboration to drive innovation and technology in contributing to a sustainable world.
