Cable-free fast charging for heavy trucks at Bring
)
Bring, one of the Nordic region’s largest logistics companies, is testing cable-free fast charging for heavy electric trucks at its Malmö distribution center, in partnership with charging infrastructure provider Elonroad. The system uses ground-embedded charging rails and an under-mounted energy collector on the vehicle, allowing automatic charging during loading and unloading—without driver intervention. The pilot, featuring a Mercedes eActros, is the first of its kind in Sweden and builds on earlier trials in Trondheim. If successful, the technology could be scaled up to support Bring’s goal of fully electrifying light truck deliveries by 2027 and accelerating the shift to zero-emission transport.
