Nellie Technologies is a UK-based climate tech company delivering modular, scalable carbon dioxide removal (CDR) through algae cultivation and pyrolysis. Our system produces PhycoChar®—a high-grade biochar that locks away carbon for centuries—alongside a biofertiliser and low-carbon heat. Each unit is containerised for easy deployment across rural or industrial sites. We offer verified carbon removal credits backed by robust MRV, and are scaling toward 100,000 tonnes CO₂ removed annually. Our technology also supports point-source capture from biogenic emitters like wastewater plants. With credits sold to multinational buyers and backing from the Royal Academy of Engineering and UKRI, Nellie is building trusted, transparent CDR infrastructure for a net zero future.
