Description
Material Evolution (Mevo) is transforming the construction sector by producing ultra-low carbon cement made from industrial byproducts, with an up to 85% reduction in CO2 emissions compared to traditional cement. Mevo uses patented alkali fusion technology and AI algorithms to develop next-generation sustainable materials. Led by co-founders Dr. Liz Gilligan and Sam Clark, the company has a goal of removing one gigaton of CO2 by 2040. Mevo’s R&D Hub is in Teesside, UK and its A1 Production Facility is in Wrexham, Wales.
