Polyurethane represents 8% of world plastics existing as foams, coatings, adhesives and thermoplastics, widely used in industry, such as fashion, cosmetics, automotive, electronics, construction, agriculture, medical and furniture, creating a global challenge. 

Algreen has commercialised 100% biobased polyurethanes to address this global pollution issue and was a winner of the Global Change Award 2023. 

We utilise agricultural waste that doesn't compete with food production, located near the supply chain and help benefit the local economy by providing job opportunities in green chemical production.

Algreen also works with the largest cosmetic group in the world to replace microplastic ingredients in order to comply with the EU’s Green Deal is a far-reaching strategy driving Europe to become a climate-neutral continent by 2050.
