Electrifying the Economy

Securing power, resilience & competitive advantage in a constrained system

Electrification is becoming a strategic priority for organisations across transport, industry, logistics, property and the public sector. Yet for many, the challenge extends far beyond deploying new technology.

Grid constraints, infrastructure bottlenecks, fragmented ownership and competing organisational priorities are creating barriers to progress. Electrification decisions now span procurement, operations, estates, finance, fleet and strategy, yet few organisations have a complete view of the challenge.

The Electrifying the Economy Conference brings together senior leaders from across the electrification value chain to explore what successful electrification looks like in practice and how organisations can turn this complex transition into a source of operational and competitive advantage.

Join us in London this November for a one-day conference focused on the practical realities of electrification, energy resilience and system transformation.

Coming Soon: The Electrifying the Economy Report

In June 2026, Innovation Zero will publish a report summarising the key insights from the Electrifying the Economy Working Group held at Innovation Zero World Congress in April 2026.

The working group brought together 42 senior representatives from across industry, infrastructure, finance, technology and government to discuss the opportunities and challenges associated with electrification.

The report highlights the key themes that emerged during these discussions, including infrastructure constraints, organisational barriers, investment priorities and the actions needed to support electrification across the UK economy.
