Dr Ahmed Shawky is CEO of SustainGRC – the AI-native platform unifying Sustainability & GRC into a single source of truth. As a tech innovator and governance strategist, he brings over 20 years of experience leading Big Four transformation projects and building sustainable data systems across public and private sectors.

Ahmed’s career spans leadership roles at PwC, EY, and Protiviti, as well as Chief Audit Executive at Sidra Medicine (Qatar Foundation). He currently serves on audit and sustainability advisory boards in the UK and USA. His academic credentials include a Doctorate in Sustainability Assurance (Durham), Sloan Fellowship (LBS), and executive edcuation at Harvard and Manchester. He is also a CIA and CPA (USA), and AI governance practitioner.

A published author and frequent keynote speaker, Ahmed’s work addresses ESG assurance, AI governance, and audit innovation. His recent book “Internal Audit Strategic Fitness” is shaping audit leadership across industries.

Under his leadership, SustainGRC has been recognised by Google AI, Nvidia Inception, Microsoft and Tech Nation for pioneering AI in sustainability.
