As Chief Sustainability Officer, Anna Griffin is a recognized leader in advancing the Net Zero and Carbon Neutrality agenda, driving transformative ESG strategies. She has played a pivotal role in positioning organizations at the forefront of the global transition to a low-carbon economy through innovative low-carbon building solutions and sustainable construction materials.

Anna led one of the world’s first Near-Zero Steel and Carbon Neutral Steel initiatives, overseeing decarbonization roadmaps, carbon management plans, and clean energy procurement strategies. Her work integrates renewable energy, circular economy practices, and sustainable building materials to accelerate the green transition while ensuring resilience, human wellbeing, and market competitiveness.

Passionate about collaborative impact, Anna engages with governments, industry partners, and international organizations to scale climate solutions and shape progressive sustainability policies. She is also an advocate for inclusive leadership, driving green skills and DEI initiatives (e.g. Women in Steel UAE).

Previously a Director of Global Operations at PwC and Chief People & Sustainability Officer, Anna’s career spans leadership roles across steel, energy, oil and gas, and mining sectors, with global experience at BHP Billiton, De Beers, and APLNG across Middle East, Australia, Southeast Asia, UK, USA, and Europe. She is a published author, holds an MBA and a BA in International Relations, and is currently pursuing a Master’s in Sustainability at Harvard University.
